AKANDEFT – The Coding Monster ("we", "us", "our") provides web development, digital services, mentorship, and custom software solutions. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a consultation, purchasing a service, or engaging with us, you agree to these terms. If you disagree with any term, do not use our services.

2. Website Use

You agree to use our website (https://thecodingmonster.com) lawfully and responsibly. You will not:

• Engage in illegal activity or violate laws
• Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access
• Distribute malware or harmful code
• Spam or flood our systems

3. Project Quotations & Proposals

All quotations are:

• Valid for 14 days from date of issue
• Based on information provided by you
• Subject to change if scope changes
• Not binding until signed and deposit paid

We reserve the right to decline any project.

4. Project Payments

Payment terms for custom projects:

• Initial Deposit: Typically 50% due before work begins
• Milestone Payments: Remaining balance split across project milestones
• Final Payment: Due upon project delivery
• Payment Methods: Flutterwave (cards, bank transfer, USSD, crypto)
• Late Payments: May delay project delivery

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of all content you provide (text, images, logos, data). You grant us license to use it to build your project.

Our Work: Upon full payment, you own the completed website/software and all code written specifically for you. This includes source code, documentation, and design files.

Reusable Components: Pre-built libraries, frameworks, and tools (React, Node.js, etc.) remain open-source as licensed. You may use them under their original licenses.

6. Project Scope & Changes

Your project scope is defined in the written proposal. Scope changes:

• Must be approved in writing
• May affect timeline and cost
• Will be quoted separately

7. Revisions & Rounds

Most projects include 2 revision rounds. Additional revisions:

• Charged at $50-150 per hour depending on complexity
• Must be requested before final delivery
• Major changes after launch = new project scope

8. Project Delivery & Timeline

Delivery dates provided are estimates, not guarantees. Timelines depend on:

• Your timely feedback and content provision
• Approval of milestones
• No major scope changes mid-project
• On-time payments

Delays due to your actions don't affect our liability. We communicate progress weekly via live preview links.

9. Support & Maintenance

Post-Launch Support (30 days): Included free. Covers bug fixes and minor changes.

After 30 Days: Ongoing maintenance available at $150-500/month depending on needs. You own the code and can maintain it yourself or hire another developer.

10. Warranties & Disclaimers

We warrant that:

• Services will be performed professionally
• Code will be tested and functional
• Project will meet documented specifications

We do NOT warrant:

• Specific revenue or traffic results
• Third-party service availability (hosting, email, etc.)
• Compatibility with future technology updates

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

• Lost revenue or profits
• Data loss (maintain your own backups)
• Third-party actions or hosting downtime
• Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the project.

12. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate content and information
• Reviewing and approving deliverables promptly
• Maintaining backups of your data
• Securing your own hosting and domain
• Complying with laws regarding your business and website
• Following our recommendations for security and updates

14. Mentorship Services

One-on-one mentorship:

• Customized to your learning pace
• Includes live coding sessions, feedback, and resources
• 7-day money-back guarantee on first session
• Lifetime access to all course materials

15. Booking Consultations

Initial 30-minute consultation is FREE. This allows us to discuss your project and determine fit.

Paid consultations (60+ minutes) are non-refundable once scheduled, refundable if cancelled 48+ hours before.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
